The PowerVault DLT Autoloader is a fully automated, seven-tape, random access autoloader designed to be a more effective network backup solution than manually operated standalone tape drives. Servers or sites as small as 25 GB total disk storage can benefit from the superior reliability and speed, and lower operating cost an autoloader offers. This product is a high-capacity data storage cartridge changer using 4 mm DAT (Digital Audio Tape) technology. The tape autoloader achieves high data reliability through read-after-write and an additional level of error correction code (ECC). The tape autoloader stores data on tape using a standard format called DDS (Digital Data Storage), DDS-DC, DDS2, DDS3 and DDS4. This format is used by numerous other DDS tape drive manufacturers, providing a broad range of compatible tape drives. This product has been tested and validated on Dell systems to ensure it will work with your computer and is compatible with Dell PowerEdge Server 8450 / 6400 / 6450 / 6300 / 6350 / 4400 / 4300 / 4350 / 2400 / 2450 / 2300 / 1500 / 1400 / 1300.
